About

Don was trained in piano from an early age, attending the world renowned, Interlochen Arts Academy for high school, New England Conservatory and Long Island University, where he received his Bachelor of Music degree, cum laude, in Piano Performance.

Don then worked in New York City as a professional pianist, accompanist, and music director from 2001 through 2013. He has music directed and played piano/keyboards for over 120 musicals. He has also performed in over 5,000 performances, including multiple concerts in parks with over 10,000 people in attendance. 

NYC highlights include keyboards and/or rehearsal piano for the Broadway productions of Wicked, The Little Mermaid, Flower Drum Song and Wonderland and he has music directed and played keyboards for dozens of regional productions. Don was also a very active audition accompanist for AEA and non-AEA auditions through the years and has accompanied tens of thousands of actor auditions throughout the country, mostly in New York City. Don has a natural gift for sight reading and enjoys playing through music of all levels for singers. 

On the freelance side, Don has played for cocktail parties at nearly every top location in NYC including Cipriani, The Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel, The Four Seasons, the Times Square Marriott Marquis and many more. 

Now based in Atlanta, Don is the owner of The Studios Brookhaven, which specializes in music lessons and

dance, theatre and wellness classes for all ages. At 3,200 square feet, The Studios also boasts Brookhaven's only commercial dance studio. Don is the Founder and Co-Director/Board member of The Atlanta Institute for Musical Theatre, an organization dedicated to the advancement of new works and MT education accessible to all. Don has been an adjunct instructor in Brenau University's Musical Theatre Department and frequently is a guest pianist at Oglethorpe University. Additionally, Don is the Director of Music at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church. 

His greatest work of art are his daughters, Allie and Emily. He lives in the Briarcliff Woods area of Atlanta with Allie and his wife, Kate and dogs Morgan and Max.
